Founded in 2002, the Boston Ironsides RFC is a senior amateur rugby football club dedicated to learning, teaching, and playing rugby union; to forging new friendships; to celebrating others’ differences; and to giving back to our supportive communities through charitable and educational activities. We are committed to building a competitive, social, and diverse team, welcoming players regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, race, religion, age, or physical ability.
Interest in the sport of rugby has grown tremendously in Boston over the years. We are proud to now field two competitive sides, Ironsides Radio and Ironsides Remix. Radio focuses on pushing and challenging athletes to perform at their highest level of play. Remix helps players learn the fundamentals of the game, become comfortable with playing a contact sport, and hone their skills. Radio and Remix seamlessly integrate to form the Boston Ironsides.
