Adult senior softball league
As an introduction to our softball club, we welcome new players to come down to the field and join us for Sunday morning open batting practice. We encourage new players to attend open batting practice before their Green Team tryout. Softball club bats and a glove are available to use for open practice. You must be a resident of Sun City West and have a valid recreation card.
When a new player is ready for their Green Team tryout, a date will be scheduled for their tryout. A panel of approved softball club raters will rate new players based on their skill level. After the new player is rated, the player is entered into the appropriate league. Our club has three leagues available depending on a player’s skill level. American League is the highest skill level (1-3 rating), Central League (4-6 rating), and the National League (7-9 rating). Game schedules: Central League: Monday and Thursday. American League and National League: Tuesday and Friday. $150.00 initial fee is for uniform & first years dues. $50.00/year thereafter.
Note: If you’re new to softball league play, please do not purchase a softball bat now. Softball bats must have the USA or ASA identification logo on the bat to play at Liberty Field. Please check with the Green Team Coordinator before you purchase a new bat. Please see below for additional new player information:
