Join the Hayward Senior Softball League!
H.A.R.D. Senior Softball offers three leagues for senior men and women. 50+ League, 60+ League, and 70+ League. Senior men 70 and older can play in any league or all three leagues. Women 45 and older can play in any of the three leagues.
We are senior citizens (men and women who think we are still boys and girls) who enjoy a competitive situation that stimulates us far more than sitting in front of a TV set all day. Even though we can no longer do the physical things that we did in our 20s, 30s and 40s, the competitive spirit still burns brightly within our soul. We still yearn for that moment of glory when we get the game-winning base hit or make a sterling play in the field to shut down the other team. Though our league is about competition, it is more importantly about comradeship. By being together and playing the grand old game of softball, we can mix with other people our age and get some great exercise while having a great social environment to exercise our minds. We are all about respect! Respect for the game, respect for our teammates, respect for the opposing players, and above all, respect for ourselves. If you want to continue being “young” join us for the greatest senior social club in existence.
WHERE AND WHEN WE PLAY
H.A.R.D. Senior Softball is played at Alden E. Oliver Sports Park at 2580 Eden Park Place, Hayward, CA.
Most games start at 9:30 AM. The 60+ League plays on Tuesdays, the 70+ League plays on Wednesdays, and the 50+ League plays on Thursdays.
We believe in sportsmanship first. The sport is the game, and we are all in it together. While we are very competitive, we also want to support all the competitors as we strive to make the sport of senior softball great. We work every day to better ourselves and to better the game.
