P The practices are usually held on Monday at Heather Farm Field 4, 301 N San Carlos Dr., Walnut Creek and on Friday at Rudgear Park Softball Field.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE WALNUT CREAKERS SOFTBALL LEAGUE
The CREAKERS are a part of the Walnut Creek Seniors Club and one must be a member of the WCSC in order to participate in CREAKER Softball. The CREAKERS are open to all seniors over 50, regardless of skill, gender and ability, who want to enjoy safe recreational fun in the sport of slow-pitch softball.
In 2019 we have over 200 registered players, 13 teams and three core divisions; American, National and Continental. The players range in age from 53-89. In the American and National Divisions, players are assigned to specific teams. In the Continental Division players play pickup games with a more relaxed environment.
American Division: Players have above average to outstanding skills for playing seniors softball and are able to play safely at a more competitive level. Some players have played competitive softball for many years and many of them still play on tournament teams. In the American Division the players are the “younger”, faster, more agile and play at a more competitive level. Players range in age from 53-76 with an average age of 65. These teams play on Tuesdays with games starting at 9:30 am.
National Division:. Players have average to above average skills for playing seniors softball and are able to play safely at a competitive level. Some players have played softball for many years; and some play on tournament teams. In the National Division the players are a little older but still relatively fast and agile enough to play at a competitive but safe level. Players range in age from 56-85 with an average age of 73. These teams play on Thursday with games starting at 9:30am.
Continental Division: We also have a weekly pickup game for players who are newer to softball and/or their current abilities make this less competitive league a more appropriate fit for their skill set. In addition, a number of National Division players who like a more relaxed game also play in this Division. In the Continental Division the players are “older”, slower and generally less agile. However, once on the field we feel like we’re Buster Posey when we get that hit or make that play at home plate! Players range in age from 62-89 with an average age of 79 (only 14-years older than the youngsters in the American).. This game is played on Tuesday with games starting at 9:30 am.
