Profile
Len Van de Graafff has been the head coach/manager of Adult Soccer through the Catonsville Rec Program for over a decade. During that time, his teams competed regularly in Division One of the Maryland Majors, won Division II titles, and won numerous tournaments, including the Bernie Reif State Cup and the Over-30 League Championship in Ann Arundel County.
Combining weekly practices/trainings and participation in the area’s most competitive leagues, his squads have gone by various names over the years including Mundo FC, Catonsville Orange/Blue FC, and now compete as the Baltimore Kickers with the generous support of the Baltimore Kickers German-American Social Club under soccer president Fran McGrath. Mr. McGrath has a long history with Maryland soccer having run and grown the Maryland Majors Soccer league into one of the best amateur leagues in the country. He now serves as secretary for the Maryland State Soccer Association, secretary for the Maryland Soccer Legends organization and is the MSSA’s cup commissioner.
The Adult Soccer program has become a regular fixture in the lives of those who participate, offering a challenging environment in which to train and access to competitive play at some of the highest amateur levels in the state and the country. Many participants played for college programs or national team programs. Currently, we have an unlimited team (any age above 18) that competes in state cups and the Maryland Majors Soccer League and an over40 team that competes in the Ann Arundel County league for that age group. Training and try-out information is below.
