Profile
BayLax is a San Francisco Bay Area lacrosse league. Also known as the Northern California Women’s Lacrosse Association (NCWLA), we have been in existence since the late 1970’s when women’s lacrosse had just started expanding westward. We’ve enjoyed being a part of the growing popularity of lacrosse in Northern California ever since 2020. We are a full independent Non-Profit.
Open to women and gender-expansive people who are at least 18 years old
The official mission of BayLax is to encourage, foster, and promote women’s lacrosse in the Northern California area; to communicate lacrosse events of major interest to the membership; and to advance and encourage administrative, managerial, instructional, and financial support and garner and attain mature leadership and guidance from members and contributors dedicated to the objectives of BayLax.
Our organization is completely volunteer and member-run. Officers are voted into position each year and keep the league running smoothly with member input and suggestions welcome at any time.
Put simply, we love lacrosse and enjoy bringing the opportunity to play and grow the sport to the Northern California area.
Please note: Although we use the indicator Women’s Lacrosse, any gender-expansive people that play women’s style lacrosse are welcome to join
