Profile
Welcome to the Arizona Cricket Association (ACA). Established in 1989, ACA is a formally recognized 30-year-old, not-for-profit organization that organizes and promotes the game of Cricket in Arizona. Currently, the ACA comprises clubs/teams in the Phoenix metropolitan area and in Tucson. ACA players come from most of the major cricket-playing nations around the world: Australia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, England, India, Kenya, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, the West Indies, and Zimbabwe, as well as a few homegrown players from the USA.
Teams play on eight different grounds in the Phoenix area (four in Chandler, one in Gilbert, one in Glendale, one in Phoenix/Scottsdale) and on one ground in Tucson. The Arizona Cricket League playing season generally starts in September of each year and runs through early May of the following year. While it varies from year to year, ACA organizes a Fall T20 tournament (September), a Winter 40 Over ODI Round-Robbin Tournament (October-April), and a Spring T20 or 40 Over ODI Knock-Out Tournament (April-May). For the Winter Tournament, the teams are typically divided into two divisions for league play but are combined for the knock-out tournaments at the beginning and end of the season.
