The Detroit Curling Club members are dedicated to the enjoyment, fellowship, and promotion of the grand old game of curling. Now a popular Olympic sport, curling is taking the country and the Detroit area by storm. We are the only curling facility in the Metropolitan Detroit area and centrally located near major freeways. Our curling facility has four sheets of dedicated ice, a spacious lounge, and a warm viewing area.
Our club provides league play on weekdays, special events on weekends, organized competitions with other clubs, and skills development clinics for members to hone their skills. We have approximately 300 members of all ages and walks of life. What all our members have in common, though, is a love for the sport of curling. Playing the game as four-person teams and upholding the traditions of the game builds camaraderie among both teammates and other curlers, unmatched in other sports.
Our season runs from October to May. We offer a variety of league play for men, women, mixed and senior curlers. We host bonspiels (tournaments) and national and regional competitions and offer rentals and community education classes. We belong to national curling organizations offering paths to compete in nationally sanctioned championships and the Olympics.
