The GCSSA softball league is open to all men and women who turn 50 years old or older in 2024. What is unique about this league is that all teams are drafted new each year, so you don’t have to belong to a team before registering. Players only need to sign up. There are NO tryouts, but new players must attend at least one of the March workout sessions so managers can assess the player’s ability for draft purposes. Every player who signs up will get drafted. Family members will be drafted to the same teams.
Important information about the league:
There are two leagues:
Midweek league will play on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting at 5:15 and 6:45 pm or 5:30 and 7:00 pm, depending on the available daylight. (It’s common to play two nights during the week). NOTE: There is a possibility that league games could also be held on Mondays with the same start times. This will be determined at the end of March.
Saturday league is perfect for those who still work full-time or can’t play midweek. Games start at 9:00 and 10:30 am. (It’s common to play a double-header every third week)
