About
The Greater Indianapolis Adult Hockey Leagues (GIAHL) is operated by the Zotec Partners Carmel Ice Skadium along with a key group of board of directors.
What we are about ?
The Greater Indianapolis Adult Hockey Leagues (GIAHL) provides a place to play for players 18 to 99 years old ,recreational NO- Check, no slap-shot(Novice and Bronze Divisions), Slap -shot ( Intermediate and Silver/Gold Divisions), co-ed leagues for beginners to competitive hockey players. Our league is split into 4 divisions to ensure a level playing environment for everyone. Our Silver / Gold “A” Division features some of the area’s best adult hockey players, while our Novice Division provides an avenue for beginner players to hone their skills. Weekly standings and scoring leaders are updated regularly here during the season. The first order of business is to have FUN.
What we are NOT about ?
The Greater Indianapolis Adult Hockey Leagues (GIAHL) does not embrace a “win at all costs” attitude. It is not the appropriate venue for venting ones personal frustrations, nor is it a league for “enforcers”, antagonizers or for those whose intensity level does not allow them to adhere to the aforementioned ideals. It is also not the league in which to enter yourself in a lower division than your skill allows.
Where do we play?
Games are played in Zotec Partners Carmel Ice Stadium and Arctic Zone, just north of Indianapolis, Indiana. Players come from as far away as Ft. Wayne, Martinsville, Terre Haute, and Richmond.
