Fencing is for everyone! At the Kansas City Fencing Center, our goal is to provide an enjoyable, high-quality fencing experience for our members, and to introduce the sport to anyone who might think swords are kind of cool. Our programs provide a safe, respectful, friendly atmosphere. From youngsters to senior adults, KCFC has a program designed to meet both recreational and competitive needs.
BEGINNING FENCING INSTRUCTION
If you’ve never fenced before, or if it’s been a long time and you feel the need for a refresher, this is the place to start. We offer two opportunities for those wanting to give fencing a try. The Starter lessons are private, but if you would like, you can schedule them with a friend or family member. Just let us know if you would like to do so. As the Fundamental Class assumes some knowledge of fencing, you will need to schedule your Starter Lessons prior to scheduling the Fundamentals Class. KCFC is a Member Club of USA Fencing and insured by their insurance program, as such, all participants in our programs must have at least a non-competitive membership in USA Fencing. For your convenience we have included the cost of that membership in your Starter Course fee.
STARTER/BEGINNER COURSE FOR ADULTS
Package includes three, thirty-minute private lessons and one (hour long) fundamental class. This course is designed for those with little to no experience or those interested in returning to the sport of fencing.
STARTER/BEGINNER TWO WEAPON COURSE FOR ADULTS
Our Two Weapon Starter Package includes four, thirty-minute private lessons and two, sixty-minute Fundamental classes. This package allows you to try two of the three weapons that we offer – sabre, epee or small sword. For each you choose, you will get 2 lessons and a class. Make sure to schedule your lessons prior to your Fundamental class in each weapon.
This course is designed for those with little to no experience or those interested in returning to the sport of fencing. Select any four Adult Starter Lessons that fit your schedule.
STARTER/BEGINNER THREE WEAPON COURSE FOR ADULTS $130
Our Three Weapon Starter Package includes six, thirty-minute private lessons (2 each of sabre, epee & small sword lessons) and three (hour long) Fundamental classes (1 each of sabre, epee & small sword).
This course is designed for those with little to no experience or those interested in returning to the sport of fencing. Select any two Starter Lessons that fit your schedule for each weapon. Make sure to complete the lessons for a weapon prior to scheduling your Fundamental class in that weapon.
