Miami Roller Hockey was established in 1996 to provide players a fun, supportive and competitive environment for everyone to come together to play and share their love for the game of hockey.
Typically MRH hosts 3 seasons per year for our adult leagues:
- Winter/Spring (est: Jan-Apr)
- Summer (est: May-Aug)
- Fall (est: Sept-Dec)
(Date ranges can vary due to weather, special events or other unforeseen schedule changes)
Currently our adult leagues are split-up into 3 divisions:
- Gold (Highest Skill Level, games usually held on Tuesday nights)
- Silver (Competitive skill level, games usually held on Monday and Thursday nights)
- Rust (Beginner skill level or players older in age, games usually held on Sunday evenings)
ALL NEW PLAYERS to MRH are REQUIRED to attend at least 1 open hockey session prior to their first season’s draft so that they may be evaluated and accurately placed on a team based on their skill level.
Our Gold and Silver divisions have team captains that submit their rosters prior to the start of each season and then take part in a draft to fill in any available roster spots. Our Rust division players are ALL thrown into the draft pool individually and then team captains draft new teams every season. We do this in an effort to have our Rust players learn and interact with as many players as possible during their time in the Rust division.
Each season/league fee includes weekly games plus playoffs and team jersey. MRH traditionally hosts a League BBQ once per season and provides limited food and beer for our players to enjoy a festive night together.
In addition to the adult leagues, MRH also hosts 2-3 weekend tournaments per year (typically between seasons).
