Profile
Minnesota Boat Club offers competitive and recreational rowing at every level from beginner to international competition. MBC strives to offer something for everyone through a variety of rowing programs and events. These are just a few of the reasons we love to row: fitness, competition, friendships, health, camaraderie, community, and mental well-being.
MBC rowers have won medals at World Rowing Championships and the Olympic Games. Many of our junior rowers graduate to compete for collegiate teams in the NCAA, IRA, and ACRA. Our rowers compete year-round, attending regattas such as USRowing National Championships and the Head of the Charles. In the winter, you’ll find us putting in meters on the erg and building strength in our club’s weight training room, as well as cross-training on skis and snowshoes. Members enjoy time outdoors biking, swimming, running, kayaking, and other activities. At MBC you will find a community that enjoys physical activity, the outdoors, and building relationships amongst fellow members. This applies to many of our junior members as well who are multi-sport athletes, participating in rowing during the off-season of their other sports.
