Pelican Rugby Club is one of the oldest rugby clubs within the Tampa Bay Area. We pride our club on a strong rugby culture that epitomizes the true essence of camaraderie, resilience, and fierce determination. Every team member’s heart has an unwavering respect for tradition and a deep appreciation for the values upheld by the rugby community. From the moment players step onto the field, the shared commitment to physicality, discipline, and sportsmanship binds them together. Home to two competitive men’s teams, an active following of social members and Old Boys, plus the development of our youth program, Pelican Rugby is at the forefront of Florida Rugby and your go-to club in St Petersburg and the greater Tampa Bay area.
The teams
Pelican Rugby is fields two competitive, men’s teams. The first XV competes in Florida Rugby’s D2 league, and the second XV competes in the D3 league.
