Welcome to Play at The Plate New Jersey, Northern New Jersey’s best over 35 adult baseball league. If you are a returning player, we want to thank you for your continued support. If you are a newcomer to our league, welcome. PATPNJ is led and managed by an executive committee with over 20 years of league leadership experience and also relies on the valuable input and cooperation of our team managers. We know what it takes to provide you with a better playing experience as you get maximum value for your investment of time and money.
Our offering includes three competitive Sunday leagues and and an equally challenging weeknight league for men ages 35 (pitchers must be 39) and up along with the added opportunities of playing tournaments in professional stadiums. Last year, for the first time, we offered an over 55 division which debuted with four teams. In 2024, we anticipate at least six teams in the division and we are welcoming as many as six new teams overall to PATPNJ. We believe that there should always be a place for you to play regardless of your age or skill level.
In 2017, we started with twenty teams and two leagues. In 2024, we expect to have over forty teams and we are constantly looking for ways to improve what we provide our members. We accept full teams and individual players and do our best to place you in divisions where your abilities are best suited. Each team has a designated “owner” responsible for the collection of league fees which then are submitted to the league.
Here are some key points about our league:
Sunday game times are conveniently scheduled at 9 AM and end by noon time, giving you time to spend the rest of your day with your families.
Weeknight games begin at 8:00 PM and end by 10:30 PM.
All games are played in Northern New Jersey within a 30 minute drive of Bergen County
When we undertook the task of creating this league, it was our intention to be a point of difference from your previous experiences. We made several commitments to you and we delivered the following:
A guaranteed 17 game schedule spanning May to October, with built in open slots to allow for makeup games.
Our mission is to continue to provide our members with the best baseball experience in the area. In our inaugural season, we worked hard to establish a common set of rules that would enable all PATPNJ members to play baseball in a league that is recreational, but competitive. No arbitrary distinction or discrimination due to a player’s gender, race, color, religion, national origin, or shall be inferred or permitted.
