Profile
Prescott Senior Softball provides an opportunity for all softball players aged 45 and over to play twice weekly for ten months — February thru November — each year. We have some 200 players in three divisions. The “Major” division is our most competitive and is generally for players with relatively high skills and few physical limitations. The “AAA” division is also competitive, but players are typically somewhat less skilled. The “AA” Division is the least competitive, and is recommended for players with modest skills and/or physical limitations. Younger players tend to gravitate toward the “Major” division, and older players toward the “AA”, but all are encouraged to play in the division in which they feel most comfortable.
Games are played at Pioneer Park in Prescott on Monday and Thursday mornings. “Cactus League” begins in February; games are an opportunity of players to showcase their skills for the upcoming “Summer Season” draft. The Summer Season runs from April thru mid-September, usually ending with a post-season tournament in each division. “Fall Ball” carries us until Thanksgiving; games are generally somewhat less competitive than Summer Season contests.
Prospective players are welcome to check us out on any non-holiday Monday or Thursday morning — weather permitting — to see if Prescott Senior Softball is for you.
