The Sacramento Valley Women’s Soccer League (SVWSL) is a recreational soccer league program for women 16 and older. League seasons run from September to November and from January to May. Two tournaments are held by the League, an indoor soccer tournament in December and The Valley Cup Tournament in May.
League Overview
The SVWSL was originally formed back in the early 80s and has served over three generations of female players. Each team typically plays 10 regular fall season games and approximately 12 regular winter/spring season games. The teams are comprised of various skill players and divided into different levels of open divisions or an age-restricted division.
The SVWSL is sanctioned by US CLUB Soccer as an affiliate of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), the ruling body for soccer in the United States and FIFA the world’s ruling body for soccer.
