The Senior Women’s Basketball Association is a nonprofit organization based in San Diego, CA. It is governed by an elected executive board. We give back to the community by sponsoring girls ages 12-17, who are residents of San Diego County the opportunity to select and attend a basketball camp within the state of California.
Senior Women’s Basketball members represent a diverse array of women in the community aged 50 or older. It provides opportunities for everybody to participate, from the casual recreational player to the athlete looking to improve their game.
League play is divided into four sessions per year and runs for approximately eight to ten weeks per session. Teams play 40-minute games under the supervision of qualified referees. Scheduled games are played on Sunday afternoons and Thursday evenings at the Mission Valley YMCA.
