Profile
The Twin Cities Curling Association represents the affiliation and community between 5 different curling clubs within the Twin Cities metropolitan area. With nearly 5,000 members making up that community, they each have their unique personality and provide the ultimate curling experience for new or experienced curlers. Find a club to try out curling for the first time, join a league, or play in a bonspiel. Or, if you have any interest in experiencing the ultimate “Tour de force” of Twin Cities curling, register for the Big Spiel (held annually in January) and play at three or more of our clubs in a single four-day weekend!
The Twin Cities Curling Association was born out of a dream to start a second club in the Twin Cities area back when St. Paul Curling Club was the only dedicated ice facility with membership and leagues essentially full. This made it difficult to find new curlers and grow the sport. A history page explaining how the TCCA went from those early years of trying to organize and create a new club to the organization that it is today, supporting and growing curling within the five (and counting) Twin Cities area affiliate curling clubs is coming soon. Stay tuned!
The Mission of the organization is “to foster the sport of curling.” This broad mission is what allows this non-profit organization to be flexible and adapt its projects and funding to support the current needs of our growing curling community here in the Twin Cities area. The current executive administration has focused on three main areas of need that have been identified and shared by all affiliate clubs’ leadership teams. Those areas are: New curler recruitment/communications, Curler retention/skill building, and financial assistance (seeking to find where the needs are greatest).
