The Montreal Ultimate Association (AUM) was founded in 1993 by passionate players. At the time, the association only had a few hundred players. All games were played during the summer, mainly on the grounds of the Douglas Hospital in Verdun.
In 2017, the association changed its name and image to become Ultimate Grand Montréal (UGM), in order to better represent the territory and the services offered. To date, more than 4,000 players play the sport in Greater Montreal.
