Profile
The Vancouver Dragons Rugby League Football Club was established in 2012 by southern hemisphere expatriates in Vancouver. They debuted in the 2013 British Columbia Rugby League (BCRL) International 9’s Tournament in Squamish.
The Dragons, initiated by rugby league enthusiasts, played their 2013 BCRL home games at Brockton Oval in Stanley Park. Unlike traditional Vancouver Rugby Union clubs, they formed an independent club. This allowed them to recruit players who played rugby union in winter without conflicting with their summer commitments. While many players come from local clubs like VRRFC, Scribes RFC, Kats RFC, Meralomas RFC, and Burnaby Lake RFC, the Dragons also welcome other passionate players from Vancouver.
