Adult softball in Stanley Park
The league consists of eight co-ed softball teams organized through a draft committee. We attempt to assemble teams with players of different skills and abilities to make the season play as fair as possible. The purpose of WECSL is to play ball and have fun! We welcome ALL levels of players. You can join by yourself, your spouse, or a friend. Teams are different every season. New players are always welcome.
The season consists of 18 games plus playoffs, with 12 being held on Saturdays (10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, or 4 pm) and six games being played on Monday and/or Wednesday evenings (6:30 pm).
Games begin the first week of May or late April, with the Season Playoffs ending between late July and late August, depending on Parks Board availability. There are no games on holiday long weekends.
WECSL is a social league that elects executives at our annual general meeting to oversee the administrative and social aspects of the league. However, the league functions best when all league members get involved! So, please help out by 1st base umpiring, selling 50-50 tickets, attending meetings and games, and assisting with league parties, etc.
