Profile
WHWSC is an outdoor recreational soccer league for adult women age 18+ (previously 21+) and welcomes players of all skill levels. All games are played in the town of West Hartford, typically at Glover Soccer Complex and Eisenhower Park in the Spring and at Glover Soccer Complex and Conard High School in the Fall. (See Fields & Directions page for more information.)
WHWSC offers full seasons in the Spring and Fall, as well as pick-up games over the Summer. In the Spring, games are played on either Saturday or Sunday evenings (4 pm and 5:30 pm) from mid-April to mid-June. In the Fall, games are played on Sunday mornings (8:30 am and 10 am) beginning after Labor Day in September until early November. Summer pick-up games are typically played two nights a week in July and August.
WHWSC accepts individual and team registrations. If an individual requests a specific team or to play with specific players, all attempts are made to honor such requests. However, placements are not guaranteed and depend on the number of returning players and roster spaces available. If you are interested in registering a team, please contact the division coordinator or board member for more information.
Historically, WHWSC offered two separate divisions – a Competitive Division (A) for players 18+ (previously 21+) and a Recreational Division (B) for players 25+. However, in recent years, due to lower registration numbers, all WHWSC players have played together in the B Division. The WHWSC Board works hard to maintain parity among teams and to foster a welcoming environment with a focus on healthy competition and good sportsmanship. Click here for more information about Division A and/or Division B, and contact a division coordinator to find out which division might be appropriate for you.
